Sustainability reporting

Sustainability Reporting

Sustainability reporting is valuable not only because it enables a business to identify risks and opportunities that may impact its long-term performance, but also because it can help improve transparency and enhance brand image. By reporting on sustainability, companies can mitigate impacts from potential ESG risks, reduce waste and thereby increase cost savings, ensure they are in compliance with regulatory requirements and make more effective strategic decisions.

Our sustainability services include detailed impact reporting and robust methodologies that allow organizations to accurately measure and communicate their environmental and social impacts. By partnering with 7 Seas, businesses can enhance their sustainability practices, meet stakeholder expectations and demonstrate their commitment to responsible and sustainable growth. We offer tailored solutions that enable companies to navigate the complexities of sustainability reporting, ensuring they achieve meaningful progress toward their environmental and social objectives ensuring transparency, accountability and consistency via such frameworks:

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

CSR refers to sustainability strategies businesses employ to ensure that the company is operating ethically. In contrast ESG are a set criteria to measure a company’s overall sustainability, both components are increasingly in demand by investors and stakeholders to limit negative impact or enhance positive impact on the environment, society and governance bodies. We offer tailored strategies and scale CSR and ESG practices to integrate into businesses, essentially aligning with Sustainable Development Goals and Science Based Targets.

Sustainable Development Goals

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

Science Based Targets

Science-based targets provide a clearly-defined pathway for companies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, helping prevent the worst impacts of climate change and future-proof business growth. Targets are considered ‘science-based’ if they are in line with what the latest climate science deems necessary to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement – limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Taskforce On Climate Related Financial Disclosures

One of the essential functions of financial markets is to price risk to support informed, efficient capital-allocation decisions. To carry out this function, financial markets need accurate and timely disclosure from companies. Without the correct information, investors and others may incorrectly price or value assets, leading to a misallocation of capital. The TCFD was developed for recommendations on the types of information that companies should disclose to support investors, lenders and insurance underwriters in appropriately assessing and pricing a specific set of risks related to climate change.
